The kodkod is the smallest wild cat in the Americas and one of the smallest in the world. They are nocturnal and primarily arboreal, spending much of their time in trees.

Adult kodkods weigh only 4-6 pounds (1.8-2.7 kg).
They have the smallest geographic range of any New World cat.
